A grade-specific Anthology that includes:

• 20 x theme-based, fiction and nonfiction texts

• Pre-reading activities that include vocabulary instruction, background information and a discussion question per text

• Pre- and post-reading development of a selected comprehension skill

• Post-reading activities that include oral comprehension questions and an activity designed to develop a 21st Century skill

These texts are designed to be read aloud to learners in order to develop vocabulary and language in context, comprehension skills and 21st Century skills.

The Anthology texts are referenced in the termly Teaching Plans as part of the Shared Reading lessons.
