A grade-specific Anthology that includes:

• 20 x theme-based, fiction and nonfiction texts

• Pre-reading activities that include vocabulary instruction, background information and a discussion question per text

• Pre- and post-reading development of a selected comprehension skill

• Post-reading activities that include oral comprehension questions and an activity designed to develop a 21st Century skill

These texts are designed to be read aloud to learners in order to develop language comprehension, conceptual understanding and general knowledge. The accompanying activities are designed to develop learners’ critical thinking and 21st Century skills at an appropriate level.
