Lighthouse Publishers was born from a shared conviction shaped by years of experience across South African education. Educators, curriculum specialists and creatives had seen both the potential of classrooms and the daily challenges faced by teachers and learners, and believed children deserved books that inspired confidence and curiosity, while teachers deserved practical, clear, curriculum-aligned resources.
Established in June 2024 when the national catalogue process reopened, Lighthouse Publishers brought together more than 130 contributors in a remarkable season of collaboration, emerging as a publishing house built on courage, experience and hope for what South African education can become.
